Delete Your Account

You can delete your Nerve Arena account and the data associated with it at any time, in the iOS or Android app or in the web version. The deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open Nerve Arena on your device and sign in if you are not already.
- Tap the Self tab at the bottom right of the screen.
- Tap the gear icon at the top of the Self screen to open Settings.
- In the Data section, tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation, type DELETE in the confirmation field and tap Delete forever.
- Your account is deleted immediately. The app signs you out and returns to the welcome screen.
How to delete your account on the web
- Open the web version of Nerve Arena and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- In the Data section, choose Delete next to Delete Account.
- Type DELETE and choose Delete forever.
Heads up: deletion is immediate and permanent, and it does not cancel or refund a subscription. Cancel it, and ask for any refund, through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed from our servers:
- Your Firebase Auth user record (account credentials, provider linkage)
- Your user profile, stats, and progression on Firestore (all data under
users/<your-uid>) - Your match history, journal entries, custom personas, and saved scenarios
- Your coin history, daily limits and the other records our servers keep for your account
- Reports you sent us about AI content
What is kept
For legal, security, and operational reasons, some data is kept after your account is deleted:
- Aggregated, anonymous analytics: Firebase Analytics events that do not contain your user ID. Once you delete your account we lose the ability to associate these events with you.
- Aggregate crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics records that include device model and OS version but no personal identifiers.
- Payment records: Apple and Google keep their receipts under their own policies. We keep our record of each purchase without your account ID, for accounting and refund disputes. RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions for us, keeps its record of your purchases under your former account ID.
- Rivalries: a rivalry you took part in stays in the other player's history, with the name you used, marked as abandoned.
- Community content you published to Forge: scenarios you published are hidden from the community library and no longer show you as their creator. Contact us if you want a scenario removed completely.
Retention period
The deletion runs immediately on confirmation. Most data is wiped within seconds. Backups and cached copies are purged from our infrastructure within 90 days.
If you cannot access the app
If you lost access to the device the account is registered on, or are unable to sign in for any other reason, email us at hello@nervearena.com with the email address associated with your Apple or Google account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
